Homegrown Harvests for Homegrown Communities

About Mended Kettle Farm

Real Roots Run Deep

Hey friends! My name is Abbey & welcome to the farm - well, all 0.8 acres of her. When my husband Seth & I moved to the small town of Elk Point, South Dakota, we discovered we were meant for rural living. We created Mended Kettle Farm LLC in January 2022 with the initial purpose of raising our children on firm foundations & hands on experiences. Through small steps & a big dream, Mended Kettle Farm has bloomed beyond anything we ever could have imagined. We welcome you and hope you find peace & refuge here around our table.

Our Practices

On the farm, we strive to implement organic, recycled practices into all we do. With goals of bringing the most authentic & genuine product to our community, we set high standards to produce both products of superior health as well as taste profiles. We currently are in the process of becoming organic certified & adding a high tunnel to the farm for season extension & succession planting.

So while we garden, we reacquaint. We are reminded that nothing lasts forever, that change is constant, and then we are beautiful and wholly equipped for just that. We are reminded that confidence - the true inner knowingness of our capabilities and the trust in being able to learn - is worth gaining, not just having.
